Erin Tietz – the fascia rehab specialist

My name is Erin and I want to totally change your mind about stretching! I was a dancer for many years, the wear and tear eventually caused me to stop dancing, 😭. The basic ‘warm up’ routine was always the same, lengthen the muscles until you feel a stretch and try to go a little bit further. Now I know that it actually didn’t help us become more flexible but potentially CAUSED injury, what?!?! We’ve had it all wrong! I want to teach everyone how to truly gain flexibility and increase performance in whatever it is they love do. The key, stretching the FASCIA not muscle.

I experienced chronic pain in my hamstring throughout my dance career.  Later, I worked as a medical exercise specialist in physical therapy at a major hospital and private practice in New York City. There, I was able to try various modalities to heal my hamstring injury. It plagued me for years as I tried everything to find real, long-term relief. Nothing worked until I discovered activated movement. Ten minutes of work with fascia stretching changed my scar tissue and my life forever. Now I work each day to bring what I learned to others.

This program leverages my medical background, history of dance, numerous certifications, and personal experience to deliver a movement practice that will change how you think about true flexibility and stretching.

Fascia Stretching | A Whole-Body Rebirth

The science is in, fascia (connective tissue) needs our attention to keep our bodies in optimal working order as we move through life. Fascia bodywork is opposite of traditional stretching, a truly new way to move the body! Activation of shortened muscles with movement is the key to unlock bound up and dense connective tissue to open your energy pathways and start using your body better.

All of us have dense fascia or scar tissue, if we don’t take care of it now, it will be with us for life. Take a step into a new practice that you will use to warm-up for your day, workout, and life!

  1. I have gone to massage therapists for fascia work but didn’t realize there are ways I can do it for myself, and daily! How exciting!
