After just over a year of bringing you wellness and hassle-free ideas we want to celebrate you and invite you to join in all the appreciation fun as well. Whether it is your spouse, kids, parents, delivery man or neighbor use our prompts this week to reach out and reconnect with those in your life. Social distancing can take a toll on our relationships and there is nothing better to bring a little warmth into your heart than being grateful for the people we get to share life with.

In fact, while looking into the benefits of what an appreciation week might bring I found this great information on the neuroscience of gratitude:

“Gratitude impacts on mental and physical well-being. Positive psychology and mental health researchers in the past few decades have established an overwhelming connection between gratitude and good health… less stress, improves the quality of sleep, and builds emotional awareness … Gratitude is positively correlated to more vitality, energy, and enthusiasm to work harder.” read more here

I also came across this interesting research found in a Harvard medical school article:

“Dr. Martin E. P. Seligman, a psychologist at the University of Pennsylvania, tested the impact of various positive psychology interventions on 411 people, each compared with a control assignment of writing about early memories. When their week’s assignment was to write and personally deliver a letter of gratitude to someone who had never been properly thanked for his or her kindness, participants immediately exhibited a huge increase in happiness scores. This impact was greater than that from any other intervention, with benefits lasting for a month.”

This week I will dive more into this interesting science and also give suggestions or prompts to different areas of your life to direct appreciation or gratitude! Each day I will share some fun knowledge and ask you to spread appreciation to someone in your day. Of course, there will be some fun gifts to those who join in this week for our appreciation to you!

We would love to see you join us this week in The Hassle-Free Family group but however you follow along we wish you health, wellness and a heart gratitude! Thank you for continuing to inspire our hassle-free journey.
